Welcome to the Bethel Baptist Church. We have been a part of this community since 1798. Although our roots reach way back in time, we are a living body that is made up of individuals living today. We love our history and we seek to engage the world around us. Many have found a spiritual home here in this historic church as we encourage people at all seasons of life. We welcome families, nurture children, minister to the elderly, and challenge young people to live out the gospel each day.

What we do as a church is driven by what we believe. We are a Christian church and Baptistic in particular. Our beliefs center around the historic message of the Christian faith. In all we do, we strive to be Biblical. We believe the Bible is the word of God and we seek to conform our lives to its standard. In the Bible alone, we find the message of salvation from sin and misery by the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The message of the good news or the "gospel" is central to what we do and who we are. We desire that the gospel transform our members as individuals and families. We also desire that the gospel transform our town, our nation, and the world.

The highlight of our week is the Sunday morning worship time where people gather together to honor the risen Lord Christ in song, prayer, and praise.Our goal is to worship the Lord in reverence and awe. We seek to honor God the Father by approaching Him through His Beloved Son and to be dependent upon the Holy Spirit, not quenching Him. During our worship time we sing, we pray, and we hear the Bible explained and applied to our lives in hopes of becoming more like the Lord Jesus Christ.

While the Sunday morning worship is important to us, we also engage in discipleship classes for all ages. We support various ministries and missionaries around the world. We desire to be a light on a hill in our neighborhood and around the globe.
