Pastor Stewart Clarke joined the church in August of 2007. He grew up in Southwest Florida and enjoyed the outdoors, as well as sports. While studying to become a Life-Flight nurse, he felt God's calling to the gospel ministry and graduated from Trinity College, in South Florida, with a Bachelor's degree in 2001. It was at Trinity College that he met his wife Yesenia.

After graduation, he went to work as a plant nursery manager in Ft Myers and attended Grace Baptist Church of Cape Coral, FL. Under the preaching of Tom Ascol, Stewart's desire to preach the gospel increased. With the blessings of the church, he left Ft Myers and moved to Louisville, KY to attend the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2003. While at Seminary, he was active in the life of Clifton Baptist Church. During Seminary, his favorite studies were on church history and the Biblical languages. In 2005 Stewart and Yesenia welcomed their first child, Isabelle into the world.

Upon graduation from the Seminary with his Master of Divinity degree in 2007, he was invited to the Bethel Baptist Church in Bethel, OH as its sole pastor. Their second child, Hunter, was born in November of 2008. The Clarke family has been welcomed with open arms into the life of the church and its community. It has been a blessing to the family to enjoy the kindness and acceptance by the Bethel Baptist Church community.
